urationA mono sewage sludge utilisation plant is to be built on the Ronneburg-Ost industrial and commercial estate. Thermal utilisation reduces the mass and volume of sewage sludge and utilises the energy potential of the organic substance. The new recycling plant will increase disposal security for the 19 association members, ensure fee stability and create the opportunity to fulfil the legal requirement to recover the valuable raw material phosphorus from the ash.
Residents have concerns, nonetheless: Criticism and fears from residents focus primarily on odour nuisance, health risks and potential reductions in property values. Despite a large amount of information and dialogue formats, the positions of the citizens’ initiative of those affected in terms of building and immission control law as well as other interested citizens have been consolidated. They still oppose the construction of the plant at the planned location.
The aim of ZV KTT is to provide transparent information through an informal process in the ongoing planning procedure and to provide citizens an opportunity to express their concerns.
