Gesa Feldhusen studied International Relations & International Organisation in her Bachelor’s degree and Political Communication in her Master’s degree in the Netherlands. During her studies, she focussed primarily on the influence and perception of visual media in migration policy.
She became interested in topics relating to digitalisation during her last position as project manager at the Zurich think and do tank Dezentrum, which pursues the goal of digitalisation with society at its heart. In her work at the Dezentrum, she primarily dealt with the topics of digital participation and the teaching of digital skills. She was also head of communications.
Gesa Feldhusen is particularly interested in the progressive reorganisation of social structures and what this could look like. The option of using digital participation to involve a wide range of people in political processes is one of her main concerns.
Gesa Feldhusen is a research associate in the Networks and Society department at the nexus Institute.
