Gesa Feldhusen studied International Relations & International Organisation in her Bachelor’s degree and Political Communication in her Master’s degree in the Netherlands. During her studies, she focussed primarily on the influence and perception of visual media in migration policy. She became interested in digitalisation topics during her last position as a project manager at the Zurich-based Think & Do Tank Dezentrum, which pursues digitalisation with society at its core. In her work at the Dezentrum, she primarily dealt with the topics of digital participation and the teaching of digital skills. She was also in charge of communication. Gesa Feldhusen is particularly interested in the progressive reorganisation of social structures and what this could look like. The option of using digital participation to involve a wide range of people in political processes is one of her main concerns. Gesa Feldhusen works at the nexus Institute as a research assistant in the area of networks and society.
