The Senate Department for the Environment, Urban Mobility, Consumer Protection and Climate Action’s unit for Climate Protection and Climate Adaptation intends to further develop Berlin’s Energy and Climate Protection Programme for the implementation period 2022 – 2026.
To make strategies, plans for action and measures of the programme more understandable to the broad public and to take into account a diverse range of contributions and expectations, a publicly promoted participation process involving different stakeholder groups is implemented. The main objective is to concretise the hitherto rather abstract and conceptual dimensions of climate protection and adaptation through the active involvement of different groups of actors and by shifting the focus to the implementation level.
On behalf of the Senate Department for the Environment, Urban Mobility, Consumer Protection and Climate Action, the nexus Institute and the Planergemeinschaft jointly conduct a series of workshops with the professional public and responsible authorities, and carry out two expert forums and two public online participations.
