The project aims to support the University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde (HNEE) in the introduction and sustainable establishment of a new matrix structure based on two departments as well as an Undergraduate and Graduate School. This structural reform is intended to enhance transparency and efficiency, increase the visibility of teaching and research, and promote a cooperative work culture. The nexus Institute supports the process with a methodologically sound approach based on the Theory of Change (ToC) and focuses on three key pillars: First, it provides targeted coaching and collegial advice to the HNEE’s executive board to strategically guide the transformation. Second, the central and decentralized structures of the university are functionally and culturally integrated through analyses, workshops, and close networking. Third, dialogue-oriented formats are used to promote a sustainable cultural change, ensuring that the new structure is not only formally anchored but also integrated into the everyday work of university members.
