From the 28th-30th of January, the nexus Institut participated in the Kick-Off meeting for the Horizon Europe project idem*, which took place at the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. The project aims at developing innovative tools to enhance the participation of people with cognitive disabilities in processes of political deliberation.

In the Kick-Off, project partners from eleven organisations based in five EU-countries  and the United Kingdom took part. Participants had the chance to meet for the first time in person and provide detailed presentations on each of the work packages. As the lead partner for work package 4 “User Engagement”, nexus gave a presentation on the second day of the Kick-Off concerning its approach to user engagement, piloting and monitoring of innovative deliberative and participatory processes for the project. Additionally, the consortium got to know each other and concretized the aims, open questions, timeline, and target groups of the project.

On behalf of the nexus Institut, we would like to thank all of the project partners for their organisation and support during the Kick-Off and are looking forward to a productive collaboration going forward.
