The Berlin Citizens’ Advisory Council on Tourism is a body set up for an initial period of three years to act as an interface between politics, administration and city society and to actively participate in the shaping of tourism in Berlin in an advisory capacity. The nexus Institute organises the office of the advisory board on behalf of SenWiEnBe and visitBerlin and conducts the meetings and public events. The Bürger:innenbeirat Berlin-Tourismus is made up of 24 members from all 12 Berlin districts.

The meetings take place up to four times a year and are supplemented by public citizens’ forums. These serve to involve the broader city society in the discussion and to obtain further perspectives.
