Wiebke Blum (M. Sc.) studied the interdisciplinary Masters programme “cities and sustainability” as well as civil engineering in Berlin, Istanbul, and Aalborg. Her focus lies upon social sustainability and the inclusive development of cities. Since 2021 she has been researching and working at the nexus Institute on various methods for involving diverse citizens’ perspectives. One focus of her work and great interest is the establishment of Citizens’ Assemblies to democratise political (urban) planning processes.
Wiebke Blum brings further experience from previous work in construction management and as a freelancer in an urban development collective in the field of neighbourhood development.
