Katharina Fender (M.Sc.) studied spatial planning at the TU Dortmund University and the TU Vienna University. She now works as a research assistant in the Space and Society department at the nexus Institute. In this role, she supports urban and regional transformation processes, aiming to bring together different perspectives and to develop joint solutions.
Her Work focuses on supporting municipal development and sustainability processes, as well as the practical application of research findings to inform urban development strategies.
Katharina Fender has extensive experience in managing and designing participation processes, as well as moderating committees, working groups and workshops. She also has experience of linking theory and practice within the context of applied research and consulting in integrated urban development.
