Zora Ott studied Environmental Sciences and Political Science at Leuphana University Lüneburg with a focus on space, gender and sustainability. She wrote her bachelor’s thesis at the Thünen Institute for Rural Areas. She has been a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation since 2016.
In addition to her studies, she worked as a student assistant at the Institute for Sustainability Governance and as a tutor at the Institute for Ethics and Transdisciplinary Sustainability Research at Leuphana University. Zora Ott gained practical experience as a program coordinator of South-North voluntary services in the association Alegro e.V., as well as an intern in the project “International Campus Eco City Wünsdorf”. In 2019, she became executive director of the ARL working group “Sustainable Spatial Development for the Great Transformation.”
At the nexus Institute, Zora Ott has been a research fellow in the field of civil society since 2020.
