The project “GROW HAPPY NBG – Growing up mentally healthy in the neighbourhood” is a project of the Health Department of the City of Nuremberg. As part of the Federal Prevention Act, the project is funded by AOK Bayern for a period of 4 years (1 January 2023 – 31 December 2026). The project is addressed to the target group of children and young people (up to the age of 25) and their families, and is intended to focus on mental health. The aim is to raise awareness of the topic and to develop and implement measures for the target groups to strengthen resources such as self-efficacy and resilience. This also pursues the objective of building and establishing a prevention network, strengthening socio-spatial cooperation and organising activities in such a way that they make a particular contribution to improving the health situation of people in socially difficult circumstances. The interventions implemented to promote mental health and a healthy upbringing are based on the setting approach and strengthen the mental resources of children and young people in four socially disadvantaged neighbourhoods. The aim of the process support is to analyse existing work structures, professional procedures and document templates with an “outside” perspective and to work with the project team to design an effective and efficient project implementation. Additionally, the aim of the evaluation is to provide an independent assessment of the processes and results. <\/p>\n
