Germany is a very diverse country due to its history and location. However, the different living conditions must not lead to disadvantages for people in certain regions. All regions should be or remain liveable. There should be no regions that are socially, economically or politically cut off or left behind. Against this background, it is a priority goal of the Federal Government to create equal living conditions in the country. To this end, various measures are being implemented. According to the coalition agreement of the current federal government, all funding programmes must be regularly evaluated for their further development and reviewed for their spatial impact. The results are to be made public in a periodic equivalence report. An important component of the evaluation are dialogue formats with people from the areas affected by the equivalence problem. The focus here is on the question of how the federal government’s funding is evaluated. Text body The aim is to bring together locally engaged actors who are committed to the development of the regions and to social cohesion within the framework of focus groups in order to exchange practical examples and success factors for the development of the regions. The outcome of the exchange will provide input for further policy making. The focus groups will be prepared, conducted and evaluated by nexus Institute between August 2023 and March 2024. The assignment includes the recruitment and supervision of the participants, the moderation of the focus groups and the preparation of a final report summarising the analysis of the discussions. <\/p>\n
