Die St\u00e4rkung zivilgesellschaftlicher Nachhaltigkeitsinitiativen ist eine zentrale M\u00f6glichkeit, um eine sozial-\u00f6kologische Transformation aus der Mitte der Gesellschaft heraus voranzutreiben und diese dadurch als demokratisches Projekt zu gestalten. Zivilgesellschaftliche Nachhaltigkeitsinitiativen engagieren sich mit ihren Ideen f\u00fcr Nachhaltigkeit in allen Lebensbereichen. Die Bandbreite reicht vom Selbstreparatur-Fahrradladen \u00fcber Zero-Waste-Kochworkshops bis hin zu Energiegenossenschaften oder Wohnprojekten, die von B\u00fcrger:innen getragen werden. Diese Initiativen entwickeln, leben und verbreiten vielf\u00e4ltige Konzepte, wie Nachhaltigkeit im Kleinen und Gro\u00dfen besser gelingen kann. Sie haben also ein enormes Potential, gewohnte, nicht nachhaltige Denkmuster und Routinen aufzubrechen und mit ihren Forderungen, Projekten und Innovationen die sozial-\u00f6kologische Transformation voranzubringen. <\/p>\n

Dieses Forschungs- und Beteiligungsprojekt identifiziert gesellschaftliche und politische H\u00fcrden, welche die Arbeit von Nachhaltigkeitsinitiativen erschweren, und entwickelt passende L\u00f6sungsans\u00e4tze, die sich prim\u00e4r an Verwaltung und Politik richten (von lokaler bis zur Bundesebene). The solutions are designed to strengthen the effectiveness of sustainability work, enable the scaling of sustainability initiatives, and better engage citizens who are not yet engaged in sustainability.<\/p>\n

Gleichzeitig ist es auch ein demokratiest\u00e4rkendes Beteiligungsprojekt, denn die relevanten Akteur:innen Nachhaltigkeitsinitiativen, Stakeholder aus Wissenschaft, Politik und Verwaltung sowie weitere B\u00fcrger:innen werden eingebunden und entwickeln selbst die L\u00f6sungsans\u00e4tze.<\/p>\n

Nach einer Auswertung des aktuellen Forschungsstandes, werden vielversprechende und zukunftsweisende zivilgesellschaftliche Nachhaltigkeitsinitiativen zu Innovationsworkshops eingeladen, um H\u00fcrden der Nachhaltigkeitsarbeit zu identifizieren und entsprechende L\u00f6sungsans\u00e4tze zu entwickeln. These will be further developed by the above-mentioned stakeholders and finally submitted to a citizens’ conference for further consultation. The resulting recommendations are then passed on to actors in administration and politics.<\/p>\n

The great opportunity of this project is therefore not only that committed citizens can better implement and expand their previous efforts for sustainability and that the hurdles for currently inactive citizens are lowered. But ultimately it is also about strengthening democracy through sustainable change from within society.<\/p>\n
