Tzvetina Arsova Netzelmann joined the nexus Institute in October 2019 as a research associate and has been head of the Health and Society department since January 2022. The focus in the area of health is on research, evaluation and participation projects on health promotion and prevention in living environments, healthy work, health equity, social inclusion and participation.<\/p>\n

She was born in Bulgaria, and studied psychology (Master of Arts) and social sciences, with a focus on health promotion, prevention, participation and social integration of vulnerable groups in society. She completed her Master’s degree at Sofia University with specializations in clinical and counselling psychology as well as in developmental and educational psychology. Until 2001, she worked in health prevention, participatory community building, education, and health literacy promotion in Roma ethnic minorities in Bulgaria. From 2002 to 2018 she was an applied scientist at SPI Forschung gGmbH Berlin and was responsible for the conception, acquisition, coordination and evaluation of (EU) research and prevention projects at the intersection of different practical settings.<\/p>\n

Tzvetina Arsova Netzelmann has methodological knowledge in qualitative and participatory research designs and sound experience in evaluation, process support, and quality assurance.<\/p>\n

Her main topics are sexual health, gender and diversity, migration, anti-discrimination, and participation. She has proven expertise in participatory methods (ICPHR international certificate of continuing education ‘Participative Social Research’, http:\/\/www.khsb-berlin.de) and in the application of participatory methods, including focus groups, community mapping, Photovoice, World Caf\u00e9, Open Space, BarCamp, group training methods, and workshop facilitation. She is a member of the network “Participatory Health Research – PartNet”.<\/p>\n<\/div>
