In order to provide the best possible transport for Dresden\u2019s population and to generally improve local transport services, continuous development and modernisation is necessary. Product updates include developments in the route network as well as expansion and new construction projects. Among other things, it is planned to renew already existing tram and bus routes or a combination thereof, or to reorganise tram and bus services with stops that do not yet exist. In addition, the development of regular services includes the introduction of new lines, the adaptation of already existing lines or the merging of lines. Since local public transport is of great social importance, a high level of acceptance in the community is desirable. This is achieved by involving citizens through public participation formats. If people are able to participate in the process of decision-making, if suggestions and opinions are heard, and if the concerns of the population are taken into account, the acceptance of individual measures increases. Early and transparent communication of planning projects plays a decisive role in this.
