The state government of Baden-Württemberg has convened a “Corona Citizens’ Forum” from December 2020 to December 2021. This participation process was initiated by the State Councilor for Civil Society and Citizen Participation Gisela Erler. In this forum, 50 randomly selected residents from Baden-Württemberg can regularly talk about the Corona period and everyday perceptions. Through the forum, which is expected to meet mainly online, the State Councilor wants to learn how people experience the Corona Time, what feedback, comments, life experiences and changes they make and perceive. The experiences and suggestions from this panel will be passed on to the state government and will be used in further decision-making.

The nexus institute designs this process, organizes and moderates the event, accompanies the participants and secures the results. It ensures contact with the Stakeholder Forum and the Alliance for Participation and supports the press work of the Office for Civil Society and Citizen Participation. The local cooperation partner is the Center for Civil Society Development Freiburg (ZZE).
